PILOTS - IMPORTANT COVID-19 INFO (04/21/2021 Update):

IMPORTANT UPDATE REGARDING THE CORONAVIRUS VACCINES:

There are now three vaccines available under an Emergency Use Authorization from the FDA: Pfizer and Moderna and Johnson and Johnson. Pfizer and Moderna require two injections with the second injection at least 21 days after the first for Pfizer vaccine, and 28 days after the first for the Moderna vaccine. Johnson and Johnson is only a single injection.

All three are authorized for pilots by the FAA with the following limitation:

Airman are grounded and must not act as pilot in command for 48 hours after each dose of any of these three vaccines.

Another couple vaccines are close to release, so please check this site or FAA.gov for more information if those become available.

Reassessment is ongoing by the FAA and I will post any updates in this space as they develop. Please check back regularly.

Please note that I am continuing to do exams by appointment for those who desire to do so. For your safety, our building is a locked, secure building with limited traffic. I will be wearing a mask and your exam will be performed at a my downtown location where you will not interact with medical patients. I ask that you wear a mask as well, and these are available at the door if needed.

You can schedule your exam on this site using the links above. All location and contact information is here as well.

Thank you,
